Terms & conditions
Last updated: 15 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of Studio 141 Ltd's services, website, booking system, memberships, class packages and attendance at our studio. By purchasing a class, package or membership, or attending Studio 141, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These Terms & Conditions should be read alongside our Waiver & Participation Agreement, which every client completes before attending their first class.
1. General
Studio 141 Ltd provides strength-focused Reformer Pilates classes and related fitness services.
Participation in any class is entirely at your own risk.
Studio 141 Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most up-to-date version will always be available on our website.
2. Membership & access
Upon signing the Registration/Waiver form, an individual will be granted membership to the studio, subject to adherence to these Terms & Conditions. The decision to accept a person as a member rests solely with Studio 141 Ltd.
Studio 141 Ltd maintains the authority to revoke, suspend, or not renew the membership of any individual whose conduct is deemed detrimental to the studio's ethos or violates these Terms & Conditions. This action may also be taken if it is considered to be in the best interest of other members. Such conduct includes, but is not limited to, threatening behaviour towards staff and clients, verbal and physical abuse, and causing disruptions during classes.
Expelled members will lose all benefits associated with their class pass/membership and are not entitled to any refund for the duration of their suspension.
Studio 141 may occasionally offer promotional introductory deals (either directly or through third parties such as Groupon or ClassPass).
Studio 141 Ltd holds the right to cancel any unlimited class pass/membership in cases of its misuse, such as habitual non-attendance or booking classes without the intention to participate. Affected members will not receive a refund, will have their online booking privileges suspended, and any future booked classes will be cancelled.
3. Booking classes
All classes must be booked in advance via our booking system (Momence).
All class bookings and cancellations must be managed online by members through their accounts. Cancellations via email may not be processed in time, and the standard cancellation policy will apply.
Bookings are subject to availability, and your booking is only confirmed once payment has been successfully received.
4. Class packages & memberships
All memberships and class packages are:
- Non-refundable
- Non-transferable
- Non-extendable (save as set out below)
- Cannot be shared between multiple people, and are specific to the purchasing member
This applies to all purchases made with Studio 141, including but not limited to class packages, memberships, single class credits, private sessions, workshops, courses, events, retail items, gift cards and merchandise, unless required by law. No cash refunds are offered.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, class packages become active from the date you attend your first class using the package. The applicable validity period will be displayed at the point of purchase, and it is the member's responsibility to ensure the package is used within this time frame.
Unused classes remaining after the expiry date will automatically expire, and Studio 141 Ltd is under no obligation to extend expired packages.
Extension due to injury or illness: if injury or illness prevents you from using your package within its validity period, an extension may be considered at management's discretion, requiring written medical confirmation at the onset of the condition. For recurring injuries or medical conditions, extensions are limited to one period per pass, and members should bear this in mind when purchasing.
Studio 141 Ltd is not liable for incorrect usage of packages leading to unused or expired classes.
Introductory offers are not available to anyone who has previously attended a class at Studio 141 or who is currently using a class pack or membership.
5. Cancellation policy
Members may cancel a class up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time to be entitled to a credit to rebook.
Late cancellations (within 24 hours), failure to attend, or failing to scan into class where applicable, will result in the class credit being lost. No refunds will be issued.
Cancellations must be made through the booking system, as email or verbal cancellation requests may not be processed in time and the standard cancellation policy will still apply.
6. Waitlist policy
Members must have valid credits or payment on their account to reserve a waitlist spot. Reservations without sufficient credits or payment will be removed to prevent unpaid class reservations from blocking spaces for other members.
Standard cancellation rules apply once you are added to a class from the waitlist.
Customers get off the waitlist on a first-come first-serve basis, unless the host chooses to bypass the waitlist order. If you get off the waitlist, you will receive an email confirming that you have been taken off the waitlist.
The cut-off time for the waitlist is an hour before the class start time. You're able to remove yourself from the waitlist at any point if you can no longer make the class. You can do this via your account on Momence.
No cash refunds are issued in connection with waitlist bookings.
7. Open day, promotional & discounted classes
Certain promotional events, workshops, tasters or discounted classes may be subject to different booking conditions.
Where stated on the booking page, these bookings are exempt from Studio 141's standard cancellation policy. Unless otherwise stated:
- No refunds will be issued.
- No transfers will be permitted.
- No class credits will be returned following cancellation.
- Failure to attend will result in the booking being forfeited.
8. Late arrival policy
For health and safety reasons, clients arriving 5 minutes or more after the scheduled class start time will not be permitted to join the class, and the booking will be automatically cancelled.
This is due to the missed warm-up and disruption to the class.
No refunds, transfers or class credits will be issued.
9. First-time clients
If you are attending Studio 141 for the first time, or have never used the Reformer before, you must arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled class.
This allows your instructor to:
- Introduce you to the Reformer
- Demonstrate safe equipment use
- Answer any questions before class begins
If you do not arrive in time to receive this induction, you may not be permitted to participate in the class. No refund, transfer or class credit will be issued.
10. Grip sock policy & dress code
Grip socks must be worn during every class, for the hygiene and safety of both clients and equipment. This is a strict requirement: every client participating must wear grip socks.
Clients arriving without grip socks must purchase a pair from Studio 141 before participating, subject to availability. Clients refusing to wear grip socks or purchase a pair will not be permitted to participate, and no refund, transfer or class credit will be issued.
Members are advised to wear comfortable, suitable sportswear to classes. Sports bras are recommended. If wearing shorts, please ensure they are not loose-fitted.
Footwear: shoes must be removed for all classes.
Towels: bringing a small towel to manage perspiration during class is advisable.

You confirm that you are medically fit to participate.
It is your responsibility to inform your instructor before class if you have:
- Any injury
- Illness
- Surgery
- Pregnancy

If you have recently suffered an injury or illness, you must obtain clearance from your GP, physician or physiotherapist confirming that you are fit to participate in exercise before returning to class.

You participate entirely at your own risk, and it is your responsibility to seek appropriate medical advice before participating if you have any concerns about your health or suitability to exercise.
Studio 141 instructors reserve the right to refuse participation in a class where they believe it may pose a risk to your health or safety.

If you are pregnant you must have received clearance from your GP, midwife or healthcare professional before participating in exercise.
Studio 141's strength-focused Reformer Pilates classes are general fitness classes and are not specifically designed for pre- or postnatal clients. You participate entirely at your own risk.
Certain exercises may not be appropriate during pregnancy, so you must follow all instructor guidance and exercise modifications provided, and inform the instructor prior to every class that you are pregnant, advising them of any changes to your condition.
Studio 141 Ltd reserves the right to refuse participation in certain exercises or classes where it believes participation may not be appropriate.
13. Postnatal
If you are postnatal, you must have received clearance from your GP or healthcare professional before returning to exercise.

Entrance and exit: members must use the designated entrance when entering or leaving the studio. Fire exits, clearly marked for your safety, should not be tampered with under any circumstances. In case of fire, members are instructed to proceed promptly to the nearest exit.
Foot hygiene: members with verrucae or similar foot conditions must avoid walking barefoot in the studio.
Pet policy: pets are not permitted in the studio or its grounds, with the exception of guide dogs.
Equipment cleaning: after class, members are expected to clean their Reformer and any equipment used with the provided cleaning materials, ensuring it is ready for the next user. Hand sanitiser is available at the front desk.
Studio 141 Ltd reserves the right to refuse entry, remove, or refuse participation to anyone behaving in a way that is unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate.

19. Payments
Up-to-date class prices and package information can be found on our website at www.studio141.co.uk or obtained directly from our studio. Prices are subject to change at Studio 141 Ltd's discretion.
All classes, memberships, private sessions, workshops, courses, events, retail items, gift cards, merchandise and other purchases must be paid in full before use. Failed or reversed payments may result in bookings being cancelled.
Payment for classes at Studio 141 grants access only to classes conducted by Studio 141 Ltd, and does not include access to any other Reformer Pilates studio not operated by us.
Except as required by law, payments made for classes, class pack fees, monthly subscriptions, gift cards and annual payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Any exceptions to this policy will be explicitly stated in these Terms & Conditions.
20. Direct debits & standing orders
This section applies exclusively to members who opt for unlimited classes via a monthly direct debit or standing order (a "Subscription").
Subscription fees are due as outlined in these Terms & Conditions, regardless of actual facility usage.
Members will receive at least 30 days' written notice before any increase in Subscription fees.
Subscriptions cannot be cancelled within the initial minimum term from the first payment date (the "Minimum Subscription Period"), as specified at the time of purchase.
After the Minimum Subscription Period, members may cancel their Subscription by submitting a written request to the Studio Manager. 30 days' notice from the desired cancellation date is required, and members are liable for one month's subscription fee during this notice period.
Membership is personal and non-transferable, and lending your membership to others will result in termination without refund.
Members are liable for the full amount of the Minimum Subscription Period if they fail to pay or cancel within this period. Simply cancelling the direct debit or standing order with your bank does not, on its own, constitute cancellation of the contract. Members remain responsible for cancelling their payment instructions upon Subscription termination, and Studio 141 Ltd is not liable for payments made due to a member's failure to do so.
If the Subscription is paid via direct debit or standing order, or if any fees are overdue, the member grants Studio 141 Ltd unconditional and irrevocable permission to charge any provided credit or debit card for the monthly fee or any outstanding amounts without prior notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Studio 141 Ltd, its directors, employees, agents and instructors shall not be liable for any injury, illness, death, loss or damage arising from participation, or occurring on its premises or from use of its facilities/equipment, except where caused by negligence on the part of Studio 141 Ltd or its staff.
Studio 141 Ltd is not responsible for unavailable services or equipment, and may alter facilities at its discretion without notice, without liability for any related loss, except as required by law.
Nothing within these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion would be unlawful.
